Cavapoos raised with care, down to every detail.

Trèfle & Cie raises small Cavapoo litters at home, on Montreal's South Shore. Health-tested, temperament-matched, and considered down to the smallest detail — including the blanket that goes home with them.

Our approach

A small-scale kennel, by choice.

Two litters a year, never more. That isn't a limitation — it's the only way to know every puppy individually, to handle each one daily, and to know, when placement time comes, which family will suit them.

Our mothers live with us year-round. They aren't "breeding stock" in any industrial sense — they're our companions, they have two or three litters in their lifetime, and then they retire right here.

What never changes

Three commitments, for every puppy.

They apply to every litter we raise — no exceptions, no extra charge.

Health tested before breeding

Both our lines — cavalier and poodle — complete the recommended screenings (heart, hips, patella, eyes) before any litter. You receive the actual results, not a summary.

Socialized at home

Daily handling from birth, gradual exposure to sounds, children and other animals. A calm, confident puppy doesn't happen by accident.

Support for life

We stay reachable long after your puppy leaves — grooming, feeding, the first weeks. And if you ever can't keep them, they come back here. Always.

The Cavapoo

The cavalier's temperament, the poodle's smarts.

The Cavapoo crosses the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with the poodle (miniature or toy): an affectionate, sociable and remarkably clever dog. They bond deeply with their family and get along well with children and other pets alike.

Their curly or wavy coat sheds lightly, which makes them a popular choice for households sensitive to shedding — though no dog can honestly be promised as truly hypoallergenic, since none are, 100%.

How it works

From your first question to the ride home.

You write to us

Tell us about your household: children, other pets, living space. We reply within one or two days, honestly — sometimes to tell you a Cavapoo isn't the right fit just yet.

We meet

Visits by appointment, even before a litter is born. You meet the parents and see where the puppies grow up, right in the middle of our home.

Reservation and matching

A $600 deposit confirms your place on the litter. Matching happens around week six, based on the temperaments we observe — not the colour you picked from a photo.

Going home at eight weeks

Your puppy leaves vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and examined by our veterinarian, with a health record and a blanket that smells like the litter.

A litter is expected this fall.

Our puppies are almost always spoken for before they're born. If you're thinking about a Cavapoo this year, now is the right time to write — even if you aren't certain yet.
