Her name was Trèfle, and none of this was planned.
In 2020, a graphic designer in Longueuil brought home her first dog, a Cavapoo she named Trèfle — French for "clover" — found the very week she signed the lease on her first design studio. The name stuck as a good-luck charm; the kennel inherited it.
Trèfle had a temperament the veterinarian called remarkable: sociable without being pushy, curious, easygoing. She was the one who suggested, after two years of screenings, that Trèfle deserved a litter.
Six years later, Camille still raises litters at home, one at a time. The attention to detail that once went into her design mock-ups now goes into blankets, health records and every puppy's photos.
A cross, not a shortcut.
We don't diversify breeds: we know this one thoroughly, both parent lines and its everyday reality.
The Cavalier King Charles
Affectionate, calm, deeply attached to their family. This is where the Cavapoo gets its gentleness and its need for company.
Worth knowing: not a dog for a home that's empty all day — they cope poorly with long stretches alone.
The poodle (toy or miniature)
Intelligent, alert, easy to train. This is where the Cavapoo gets its sharpness and its light-shedding coat.
Worth knowing: lighter shedding is a real advantage, but never a guarantee of being fully hypoallergenic.
Why we cross them
Crossing two healthy lines widens the gene pool and, on average, reduces certain hereditary risks specific to each purebred line.
Worth knowing: our puppies come without purebred club registration papers — that's the only trade-off, and we own it.
Our Cavapoos come in two sizes depending on the poodle parent used: toy (roughly 5 to 8 kg / 11–18 lb) or miniature (roughly 8 to 12 kg / 18–26 lb). The expected size is noted on every listing on the Our Puppies page.
What we screen for, and what we guarantee.
No breeding happens until both parents have completed the screenings recommended for their line. Certificates are handed to you in person — not summarized, not "available on request".
Heart (cavalier side)
Annual cardiac auscultation by a veterinarian — mitral valve disease affects the breed in particular.
Hips and patellas (poodle side)
Orthopedic evaluation of both parents before mating.
Eyes and genetic panel
Ophthalmological exam and DNA testing for hereditary conditions known in both breeds.
A two-year guarantee against serious hereditary conditions, provided in writing. Replacement or refund, your choice.

We welcome families by appointment, even without a firm plan. You'll see where the puppies grow up, meet the parents, and get to ask the hard questions.
One piece of advice, even if you don't adopt from us: be wary of a breeder who won't show you where their dogs live, or who offers to meet in a parking lot. It's the most reliable signal there is.
